Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) are done to evaluate potential environmental liability prior to or during the property transfer process.  We follow ASTME standards E1527 and E1903 or other international standards for the ESAs while at the same time understanding and accounting for the lack of publicly available information in many Asian countries. 

Due Diligence and Compliance Audits are corporate risk and liability management processes to ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory and corporate HSE requirements. Our auditors use our own comprehensive legal and regulatory databases coupled with a client’s internal corporate HSE requirements to provide a detailed and comprehensive audit of a facility or business unit.

Monitoring of air emissions, wastewater discharges, groundwater, surface water and/or soils is a requirement for many facilities. We develop cost-effective monitoring programs, utilizing detailed sampling procedures and laboratory quality assurance programs to ensure data integrity. The outcome is that our results are real, not artifacts of sampling and/or laboratory errors as are often the case in Asia. 

Industrial Hygiene (IH) studies are done to assess and control physical, chemical, biological or environmental hazards in the workplace that could cause injury or disease to workers.  We have completed dozens of IH studies, including surveys for lead paint, mold, dust, VOCs, noise,  measuring biomarkers in worker urine, blood and hair for chemical exposures, and risk assessments and toxicology studies of worker exposure to chemicals.
