I describe in detail the duty-of-care requirements as stated in UAE federal legislation.  The goal is to provide insight into specific requirements for these duty-of-care provisions, which in turn provide a basis for understanding how companies can comply with these requirements.  While the discussion below relates to the UAE, the general requirements and actions to ensure compliance offered below can be used as a reasonable surrogate for other GCC counties.
